There are an abundance of scientific fields and industries that can be studied for women in science. Reading science journals and the latest science magazine will keep you informed about what is going on in the field.

As someone in the science industry you could work in any of the following industries:

  • Forestry, conservation, and environment

  • Computer science educator

  • Political science

  • Biological sciences

  • Forensic sciences

  • Food sciences

  • Earth and Atmospheric sciences

  • Environmental sciences

  • Medicine


The National Science Foundation states that women comprise 43 percent of the U.S. workforce for scientists and engineers under 75 years old.
